Step One:
Using pencil: Draw a rectangle. It doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, more rounded is better, and wonky just gives your doodle charm.
Step 2.
Draw the bottom of the bottle. Think of it as an upside down light bulb, or hot air balloon shape. Again, it doesn't have to be perfect.
Step 3.
Add the tombstone somewhere in the middle of the bottle. Start with a little wavy line for the ground/grass, and then draw an upside down "U" on top of it.
Step 4.
The "ground" is just a loose shape inside the bottle edges. This makes it look like the bottle is thick glass.
Step 5
Make your ghost body. Its a little like a wiggly comma.
Step 6
Give your ghost some eyes so he can see how to get out of the bottle.
Step 7
He would also like some arms. Erase part of the pencil line on his body and "connect" the arms.
Step 8
Draw the other arm. You can draw them in any position you like.
Step 9
Once you've finished drawing ghost arms, draw over all the lines you want to keep with a pen. Once the ink has dried, carefully erase all the pencil lines and add some details.
Add a pumpkin, bat, or other Halloween item if you like. The photo above is a scan of the finished ink drawing. Below is a colored version. You can color your doodle with your favorite medium, or simply leave black and white.
Happy doodling!
