Looking for something new to try while you are stuck inside this winter? Why not draw a bear? I've whipped up this super-quick tutorial that anyone can doodle (yes, you can).
There are only a few steps, and you can add as much (or little) detail as you want. All you need is a pencil, a piece of paper, and a black ink pen for the basic doodle. You can use this tutorial just for fun, or add it any other arts and crafts projects, such as woodburning, paintings, a handmade greeting card, ornaments, etc. Ready?
Step 1: Draw a the bear's body. Think of a chicken nugget, or an upside down cup.
Step 2: Give your bear some ears. These are just two half circles with smaller half circles inside.
Step 3: Create a bear muzzle with a loose triangle shape. (Kind of like a piece of candy corn!)
Step 4: A nose and an upside down "T" create his finish his muzzle.
Step 5: Add details. Darken the nose, add some dots for eyes (as big or as small as you want) and some eyebrows.
Step 6: If you want, you can add some bear hair with a few pencil marks.
Step 7: Add some lines around him for snow, and a little blob of snow on his head (and ears, if you like). Just erase the lines you don't want showing through your snow.
Step 8: Take a black ink pen and go over your pencil lines carefully. When the ink is dry, gently erase the pencil marks. Now you have a snow bear doodle. You can leave it as-is, or color it in.
Easy, huh?
